"We‘re always new, differâ€" ent and exciting." Brooks said. "We do our best to reinvent {festival) every year with a mix of jazz styles, from pure to dixie to swing." Festival And this year will be no different, Brooks said. Among the standouts, Brooks said the crowd is in for a treat when Dee Daniels of Vancouver, B.C. hits the stage. "We may be going out on a limb a bit with this one, but that‘s OK." The festival kicks off Thursday night with the annual gala, featuring jazz Dee Daniels artist Kevin Clark, with the theme of New Orleans Mardi Gras. While the gala is a ticketâ€" ed event, Brooks reminds that the rest of the weekend is free. "We go rain or shine, and we are fully functional," she said.
