Waterloo‘s Brandon Horn is blowing a golden tune this week after winning the Canadian Midget Fastpitch Championships in Summerâ€" side PE.1. on the weekend. A member of the Waterloo Hallman Midget Twins, Horn was added to the Elmira squad to spark the offence from the leadâ€"off position. He helped the Elmira squad clinch the title on Sunday. "I am proud to announce that for the first time, the CPC, is in a good position to support its paraâ€" lympic athletes. and that with the help of the Governâ€" ment of Canada, paraâ€" lympic athletes will be able to focus on their own Games preparations." The $1.1 million will be awareded in two payments. For the 2003â€"04 season, the review committee has idenâ€" tified nine summer sports and three winter sports in which athletes have a chance to win a medal, including Purdy in swimâ€" ming.
