Learning resources offered for sale online Curriculum Services Canada and the Waterloo Education Foundation are offering an opportunity for students and parents to pur- chase textbooks and other learning resources online. Curriculum Services Canada, a not-for-profit organization that has a mandate for reviewing text- books for a match to the provincial curriculum, has had many requests from parents and students to pur- chase resources for use at home. To accommodate these requests, Curriculum Services Canada has joined forces with the Waterloo Education Foundation to provide an opportunity for parents and students to pur- chase the same learning resources that are used in their schools In addition, 20 per cent of net revenues will be directed back to the school for acquiring needed sup- plementary resources. The Waterloo Education Foundation is the not-for- profit charity arm of the Waterloo Region district school board. The goal of the Waterloo Education Foundation is to support projects that benefit the whole system or groups of schools within the local public school board, and its objectives focus on the fur lowing priority programs: . feeding hungry children; . supporting the reintegra- tion of at-risk youth back into school; . classroom enhancements, especially in the area of "computers and technology; . special opportunities' for students; . . Best Practice initiatives: . environmental education. To order resources, visit www.pdstore.coml
