In the Jasper, Alberta, train station in the Canadian mee®C Rockies, the lives of six peoâ€" ple â€" the station manager; an eager, young newspaper reporter; an NHL hockey player; an _ accountant/ country songwriter; a tough young woman and a woman in the midst of leaving her husband â€" converge as they wait for the train to Vancouver. As their various humorous and touching individual stories unfold, they each share their hopes, dreams, high anticipation and fears of what the future holds, in this hilarious and heartâ€"warming comedy filled with exciting, funny and moving musical numâ€" bers. Jasper Station features Melodee Finlay as Emeline The production is directâ€" ed by Theatre on the Grand‘s artistic and executive direcâ€" tor Christopher McHarge, who was recently nominatâ€" ed for the 2001 Elinore & Lou Siminovitch Prize in Theatre. The production features musical direction by Steve Thomas, choreography by Kiriâ€"Lyn Muir, design by Jonathan Porter and lighting design by Karen Bayer.
