Ricky Blue was born in Liverpool, England but was raised in Maine, New Jersey and Toronto. He has an M.A. in English from Concordia University. Blue has been involved in bands and media music in Montreal for over 20 years. The duo has appeared in Montreal‘s _ international comedy fegtival Just For Laughs every year since 1988. Television â€" credits include Canada AM, The Dini Petty show, Much Music, and the Arts and Entertainment â€" Network‘s, Comedy on the Road. In November 1997, they made a TV special entitled Bowser & Blue: A Comedy Christmas â€" Two Nuts Roasting On An Open Fire. In January of 1999, they gave a private performance for Prime Minister Jean Chretian to honour his 65th birthday. Bowser plays guitar and bass, and can make recogâ€" nizable musical sounds with many other instruments, Winter Concert including his mouth. Blue plays guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, and sings in a rather pleasant baritone when Bowser will let him. Bowser & Blue are part of the Centre‘s 2000/2001 Comedy Series.
