In the popular Doubles event, the tandem of Don Hoffman and erry Lalonde defeated Mike Costigan and Joel Schoenherr; B‘ wonors were claimed by Mike Hirschman and Paul Cressman ver Rich Donelle and Blair Gateman; while the ‘C crown was aptured by Barney Lawrence and Ralph Bentfeld over Todd Nicks and Bill Taylor. Carolyn Gilbert of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks‘ swim im is the Ontario Women‘s Interuniversity Athletic Association thlete of the Week. The second year Arts student won four events at the OWIAA vitational meet hosted by University of Toronto over the weekâ€" id. Gilbert win the 50â€"metre and 100m butterfly and 100m and 00m breaststroke. In addition, she set a new meet record of 12:55 in the 100m breast. Her times in all events qualify her for he CIAU Championships which take place in Guelph, Feb. 23â€" Laurier Tom Fuke will also be attending the CIAU meet as well Fuke will be competing in the 200m breast.
