Durâ€" ing first period, everyone was excused from classes to attend a student organized Remembrance Day service featuring guest speaker, Mr. Budd, a war veteran repreâ€" senting the RC.AF Association. Mr. Budd helped Bluevale to identify with the solâ€" diers who fought for our country. Through speakers, slides showing the horrors of war and powerful choir selections, an impact was made on many of our Knights. Over the past week, a group of Bluevale students has formed a new committee in our school, Concerned Citizens of Blueâ€" vale. The groups most immediate concern involves the safety of a large part of the population of Bluevale. Since the county‘s Board of Education made the policy that there should be no smoking on school property, Bluevale‘s smokers were forced out on to the sidewalk in front of the school which is off school property. This pseudo "smoke hole" is threatening to claim the lives of our students. Because the smokers are congregated so near to the road, there is likely to be a fatal accident. As well, we want to protect our students who form an accessible target for mobile drug dealers and we are determined to improve the appearance of the school by eessessesssssessssssssseeesea008 8000080000 Earn extra money delivering the Waterioo Chronicle after school on WEDNESDAYS.
