The purpose of the byâ€"law is to rezone the lands shown the attached KEY MAP to permit a Portable Living Unit for a Senior (Granny Flat). 4 The Byâ€"law defines a "Portable Living Unit for a Senior" as a portable living unit provided to a landowner by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Housing under the Portable Living Unit for Seniors Demonstration Project. The definition goes on to indicate that the unit is provided to the landowner fot temporary use on the owner‘s lot, for occupancy by a parent of either the owner or the owner‘s spouse.
