More, more, more, urges recycling committee lan Kirkby Chronicle Staff « At least one more Waterloo recycling committee group is just weeks away from a recommendation to council for an expansion of recycling within the city. The "business recycling" committee will have a recommendation for council to expand recycling to restaurants in approximately one month, predicted member Lyle Halero. "We‘re pretty well ready. We‘ve worked out which restaurants and bars want to participate and what kinds of containers they need," said Halero. The group will now coordinate with other groups within the recycling committee to see if their recommendations can be merged for presentation to Halcro told a meeting of the recycling committee Tuesday the city will need to purchase a fourth recycling truck to expand recycling to business, industry, schools, and universities. "If necessary, it may require some joint action from the universities and the city, maybe in the form of containers. We can look at Guelph as an example there."
