Bitten by the television bug That‘s what has happened to a group of Grade 11 English students at Bluevale collegiate, who are participating in a brand new media course which offers them the opportunity to tape their own TV programs using a portable color TV studio supplied by the Waterioo County board of education. ‘*‘This has been one of the most popular courses I‘ve ever taught," said Bluevale teacher Robin Culkin. "My attendance has been at an allâ€"time high." The students have been "climbing all over each other"" to get to this class, added Bluevale principal Tony Feider. But they all learned about responsibility; of being here when needed and being counted on as part of a group,"said Culkin. Further program studies will include a look at what television the students are watching, the effects of television in our daily lives, and an examination of advertising and the influence it has. ‘*‘Camerawoman‘*‘ Dina Jug 696 Beimont Ave. W., Kitchener (in the Belmont Plaza) 744â€"4458 Weekdays to 10 p.m. Sat. to 6 p.m. Open Sundays Remember us for that lastâ€"minute gift!
