Because the European-style beers Bird preferred were hard to ttnd, and cost considerably more, it was evitable that he would try brewing his own. From there, the next step was into winernaking. Bird opened his first store three years ago in Guelph. The motivation was simple: be needed supplies to pursue his own hobby and they couldn't be found in Guelph. Recognizing there was a market to be tapped. he decided to open his own store. The store also carries every- thing from draft systems and cancers to bottle labels and corks and extracts for making your own liqueurs.
