The ROW member, whose site- daily is the 400 metre individual medley, saved his best swim ot the meet for the zoo backstroke in the boys 15 and over category and he won that in I personal best time of 2: 09.51. He also won the so and mo freestyle, 100 and 200 butterfly and the 200 breaststroke. Besides that, he capped off a busy weekend with a second place finish in the 100 breast and also placed third in the 200 free. That performance helped the host ROW club win the meet with 2,701 points. Finishing second with 1,958 points was the Pointe Claire Swim Club from Quebec, which now has former ROW coach Cliff Barry and Olympic gold medallist Victor Davis in its organisation. Leaving Brown alone in the spotlight were Czechoslovakian defectors Marcel Gery and Vias- timil Cemy. Cemy wasn't there at all and Gery didn't compete in the finals of four events on Sunday after winning the 200 free on Saturday. The Burlington Syncro Swim Club made a clean sweep in the figures Judging but the K-W pair of Melanie Averell and Kerstin Saarkoppel placed sixth in the duets competition. The recently-formed K-W Youth Syncronized Swim Club hosted a regional trial competi- tion for swimmers 12 and under on Sunday. Brown was one of three age group winners for ROW. Jennifer McPherson won the high point score for girls 15 and over and John Dolynchuk was best among boys 13-14. McPherson won the 100 free and placed second in the 200 back and 100 fly. She was third in the 200 IM and 100 back. Other ROW results are as fol- lows: " AND UNDER GIRLS: Gabriella Saba- dos-3rdsofreeand “Black.
