Closer to home, Sarah Duda had four first place finishes for the ROW at a Golden Region Aquatic Association swim meet with a team from Cambridge Sunday at the Wilfrid Laurier University pool. ROW won the meet overall. Results for ROW swimmers are as follows: A total of 411 swimmers repreâ€" sented 42 clubs at the meet. Kara Bowman won the 200 back consolation event and Jenâ€" nifer McPherson was a winner in the 100 back consols as well as finishing second in the 200 back consols. Nancy Woodhall was second in the consolation finals of the 200 breast. The relay team of McPherson, Gardiner, Smith and Skafte placed second in the 4 x 100 Linda Gardiner of the Region of Waterioo Swim Club scored second place finishes in the finals of two events at the first Ontario Cup swim meet of the 1986â€"87 the finals where he was seventh in the 200 fly. He was second in the 100 fly and 200 IM consolation Tyler Clair, meanwhile, won the 200 back consolation final and was second in the 100 back conâ€" sols. Sue Smith placed seventh in the 400 free and eighth in the 400 IM. She also won the 200 breast consolation event. third in the 100 fly and 400 IM and was fourth in the 400 free.
