Lions‘ running back Terry Futher helped his club take the play away from Vikings in the second half. He put Lions into the lead with a threeâ€"yard touchdown run early in the final quarter and Lions couldn‘t go wrong even when he fumbled on a similar touchdown attempt later in the quarter. When Futher fumbled, the ball bounced into the endzone where Dean Fitzgerald, a lineman, fell on it for the final touchdown of the afternoon. Cam Stewart kicked converts on two of Lions‘ three touchdowns. Vikings didn‘t punt at any time in Saturday‘s game and Futher‘s touchdown came a few plays after Vikings lost the ball on their own 35â€"yard line on an unsuccessful fourth down gamble.
