News digest Beta Sigma Phi Daffodil Day Six thousand daffodils will be up for sale this weekend in K-W when the K-W Beta Sigma Phi Sorority holds its annual Daffodil Day to raise money for the Cancer Soci- ety. Sorority members will be in most of the Twin Cities' malls Friday, Apr. 4 from 6: 30-8: 30 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 5, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. selling the flowers for $2.50 a bunch. By raising the necessary funds through community bingos and Christmas tree sales, the Waterloo Jaycees were able to donate $2,000 to the K-W Hospital Building Fund. Presenting the cheque, at the Jaycees annual Civic and Employers Night, to Ross Hahn of the Building Fund, is Ron Wagner, secretary of the Waterloo Jaycees. College establishes Frank Epp scholarship fund Jaycees. A memorial scholarship fund has been established by Conrad Grebel College in honour of Frank H. Epp, former president and pro- lessor of history, who passed away in January. He had been at the college since 1971 and served as president from 1973-79. The proceeds from the fund will be used to promote the study of Mennonites and other minority groups - areas of interest to which Epp devoted large amounts of energy and time.
