More than 40 20thâ€"century Euâ€" ropean sculptures taken from the permanent collection of The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will be exhibited at the Kitchen er/Waterloo Art Gallery to Jan 19. Organized by the museum, the exhibition highlights various modes of stylization, and princiâ€" pal movements in European sculpture in the first half of this century. To help the visitor understand the often complex attitudes towards and treatments of abâ€" straction in this period, the works are divided into three general sections: surrealism and expressionism; organic abstracâ€" tion; cubist and constructivist abstraction.
