Aside from all being over the age of 60, their common bond is an insatiable desire to travel and learn. These are the people who participate in Elderhostel â€" an international organization for seniors that was inspired by the youth hostels and folk schools of Europe. It is a network of more than 700 colleges, universities and other educational institutions throughout North America and Europe which offer special lowâ€"cost, shortâ€"term residential academic programs for older adults. This week, 41 students are at Wilfrid Laurier University for its annual Elderhostel | program. Art and Anne Genge, from Sarasota, Fla., arrived at WLU with the other hostelers on Sunday .
