Doreen Thomas who was doing the finger pointing. Following a review of her activities as Waterloo representative on the transit advisory committee, Project Lift and the court of revision, Thomas took a moment from the committee of council meeting to make a presentation of her own. Saying that "attendance was a major concern of Alderman Richard Biggs two to three months ago," Thomas awarded him a special "certifiâ€" cate" in recognition of his poor record when it comes to attending city meetings. Last fall-.vi‘t' was Thomas who was criticized by her fellow aldermen for her poor council attenâ€" dance. o Students at Lexington Public school were rewarded for a job well done last week by the Ontario Heart Foundation. The 78 students, who participated in the school‘s Jump Rope for Heart Marathon last month raising a total of $3,400 for the foundation, were awarded track suits, gym bags, tâ€"shirts and skipping ropes for their efforts. Six of the Lexington students who each raised more than $100 in the marathon model their new track suits. Thomas has missed two meetings during the same period. Although the sixâ€"month period was up and a memo had been sent to all aldermen reminding them of the new regulation, Thomas was the only alderman to give a report. Regulations adopted by council earlier this year state that aldermen are to report every six months on the activities of the committees and boards to which they have been appointed. Since December, Mayor Marjorie Carroll, Aldermen Jim Erb and Brian Turnbull have attended 20 of 21 Monday council meetings. Aldermen Robert Henry, Mary Jane Mewhinâ€" ney, Charles Voelker and Glen Wright have each missed two meetings. KATHY GULZAR ., FRI., 9:30â€"9:;: pm Pst Arbuckle photo
