The Knight of the Week is Tom Foster. Sylvia Brown Spring has sprung signalling the return of track and field, soccer and the girls‘ gymnastics CWOSSA meet. This meet, which will be held April 7, will give the girls ample opportunity to prove just how strong their team is. This year WCI has a record 23 entries and at the qualifying meet, Viking gymnasts scored 133 points, placing second to Waterloo Oxford‘s 134.9. Val Smith won the junior bars event and second place finishers included Tanja Sparringa. Wendy Kruux and Marilyn Coutts. Lyne Ris borough was WCTI‘s top performer, scoring 33.15 points and qualifying in all four events. The math contest results are finally in and all three of our junior teams placed well. The grade 9 Pascal team was second in the district, 32nd in the province and placed 56th in Canada out of 1057 schools. The grade 10 Cayley team was third in the district and in the top 50 in Ontario. Finally, the grade 11 Fermat team placed first in the district and were in the top 200 in Canada out of 1002 schools.
