Swimming, basketball, badminton, volleyball and hockey were all a part of the highlyâ€"publicized program of events intended to bring out new fans in addition to the regular followers. And this "Golden Hawk Week," was a success, especially in the areas where attendance had been down. Badminton and volleyball, two low profile sports, enjoyed a rise in fan support while the hockey team enjoyed its usual high turnâ€" out.
