This is the last year of the meet under its present format and Mathers insists WCI will triumph. "We want that trophy'for keeps." he said. The score ol the match was 0-0. In the first half. the A's started rather slowly, but the momentum of their pray picked up after about ten minutes. In an effort to draw the defense from the goal area, the "A's attacked mainly from the wings. This tactic proved to be effective and gave the forwards many good chances to score. Un- fortunately they were not able to capitalize on these opportunities. In the second halUthe Stratford defense anticipat- ed the wing attack and closed it off somewhat. Throughout the game the A's dominated play, ho- wever Stratford did make several dangerous rushes which nearly won them the game. Goalie Gary Zettler did not allow any goals.
