While Jerry has been a busy executive member for several years and served as President for the past couâ€" ple of seasons, Dana is curâ€" rently skating in his second campaign as a fleet of foot centreâ€"ice man. Dana‘s involvement with !ckey in Waterloo goes ck a decade when he first skated as an Allâ€"Star with the Waterloo Atoms. Under the tutorship of Coach Ken Hergott and Manager Ken Beaupre, the team waltzed to a pair of successive Zone Championships in 68â€"69 and 69â€"70. Teammates of Dana‘s included Joe Young, Gary Thiel and Brian Schnurr, all players who established themselves in later seasons. Through the early sevenâ€" ties Dana progressed through the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association ranks, and assisted Joe Doucette‘s Minor Juveniles to an Allâ€" Ontario Title in Minor Juâ€" venile in 76â€"77. Denise, 16, is a strong performer with the Kitâ€" chenerâ€"Waterloo Figure Skating Club, and is currentâ€" ly trying for her seventh fiâ€" gure. Deidre, 10, is very acâ€" tive in ringette. Mother Barb, keeps busy in attempting to keep track of the schedules of the rest of the family â€" but finds time to golf in the summer while the family vacations at the summer retreat in Sauble Beach. Dana‘s contributions to Waterloo Minor Hockey inâ€" clude his copping the Most Valuable Player Award and ending the season as the leading scorer with the proâ€" vincial champion Minor Juâ€" veniles in 76â€"77.
