Mainutrition isn‘t a serâ€" ious problem in Canada. If you believe that stateâ€" ment then Dr. Zak Sabry, the â€" syndicated â€" nutrition columnist has some interâ€" esting information for you. *‘*We could in a land of plenty such as ours be sufâ€" fering from very subtle symptoms of malnutrition, Dr. Sabry said. _ Page 24 â€"~Waterioo Chronicle, Wednesday, Noventoer. 3, 1076 Some â€" interesting _ Staâ€" tistics that he noted were that one out of every two adults was overweight to some extent and that one out of every six adults was overweight enough for it to be hazardous to their health. _ V(Snâ€"e 'nutrient that is Serâ€" iously lacking in the Canadiâ€" an diet is iron. Calâ€" cium helps to build bones and strengthen teeth. Another deficiency we have in our diet is the lack of folic acid. Folic acid is found in green vegetables and meats such as liver and kidney. And there are some peoâ€" ple who don‘t get enough Vitamin C. The most available form of iron is found in meat, the second most available form is found in beans and the third most available form is found in eggs. The other nutrient that is lacking in the Canadian diet is serious for children and teenagers. That nutrient is calcium. should look for the form of iron that is most available to them, Dr.Sabry said. There are solutions to all these problems.
