If it‘s a good day, try the Eurasian walkâ€"about, an â€" exploration of â€" the Eurasian region at Metro Toronto Zoo, a zoogeogrâ€" aphic area that includes all of Europe, North Africa, and Asia north of the Himalayas. Start with the Eurasian pavilion, one of the smaller pavilions at the Zoo, but certainly one of the most charming. The delicate aromas of limes, AChinese loquats, fruiting figs and jasmine vines fill the air. â€" Within the pavilion, a pair of nocturnal hedgeâ€" hogs live in a specially lighted enclosure so they will be active while visitors are present. There‘s also the snakelike scheltopusik, a â€" virtually legless lizard; the delicate fennec fox _ with _ its surprisingly large â€" ears; cormorants, used to catch fish in Japan; and a fine pair of barn owls. In the outside walkâ€"about you _ will see â€" several ‘‘exotic‘‘ animals that are actually domesticated in their home range. The shaggy yak and both kinds of camels are all domestic animals now. The oneâ€" COMING UP. TAPESTRY in traditional and modern designed tapestries . . . with or without worked centres. Available in sets.
