Learning new crafts, taking part in interâ€"city sport activities with other playgrounds and youth centres, sleepâ€" ing out overnight and cooking hot dogs over an open fire are just a few of the activities. This is the third year the playground has been in ‘operation. Tom Litwiller, program superâ€" visor for Waterloo community services, explainâ€" ed that in the first two years of operation it was run as a day camp. "‘This year we changed it to a comeâ€"asâ€"youâ€" please sort of activity," said Mr. Litwiller. "It has worked out very well and we have an averâ€" age daily attendance of 35 to 40 children." The cbmp opened on July 5 and will finish on August 13. It will wind up with a trip to Ontario Place.
