In track and field last week, W.C.1I. boys showed some awesome power at the Forest Heights Relays. The boys‘ three teams â€" midget, junior and senior â€" combined to win the overall boys‘ title. Winners were endless, and W.C.1. easily dominated the event. You‘ll be hearing more about the team I‘m sure. At The Basketball Club has received an enthusiastic start. It meets on Monday nights and Thursday nights from 7:00 to 9:00. It is a very good class of competiâ€" tion, and Coach J. Zdrahal is there to instruct. C SR 3: This Friday is the spring dance. Running this dance is the new Events Controlâ€" ler, Karen Pfaff. The new Board of Control is beginâ€" ning to blend into work now with the old Controllers close behind to lend a hand when needed. The dance features "Phaze". Tickets are $1.75 in advance and $2.25 at the door. Coming events at W.C.IL are Intramural Track and Field Day, Athletic Banâ€" quet. Summer Dance, Twin City Track and Field finals. and many intramural events. The highlight of last week was the Twin City J a zz Dance competition. Vikings had dancers pick up a first, WCI winners again the Twin City Folk _ Competition at and a second. The first was for ‘"‘Harmonica" in the Folk Dance Division. Second in the Novelty Dance Diâ€" vision. Congratulations to the team members. On Sunday, Bluevale runâ€" ners braved cold, wind and snow, to successfully defend their hold on the Forest Heights Road Race Trophy for Waterloo County High second and third place in this competition. All the schools were represented and W.C.I. was also repreâ€" sented in the audience which gave moral support. ~On Saturday, both the CWOSSA Junior and Interâ€" mediate teams won proâ€" vincial championships at the Ontario Giris‘ Gymâ€" nastics Meet. Angela Pieper, Roseanne Dietrich, and Darlene Crook of W.C.I. were members of the winâ€" ning team. Again, W.C.I. makes its presence felt as it has very frequently this year in the Twin City competitions. The Waterloo Summer Theatre Company is interâ€" ested in involving the comâ€" munity in its operations. We‘ll be needing held in the backstage workings of theatre. No experience is necessary.
