There‘s been a virtual crescendo in musical trainâ€" ing, choral and instrumenâ€" tal, in Ontario schools since the county school system was introduced a few years ago. Excellent bands and choruses are beâ€" ing developed. There are now 37 school bands, two orchestras and four percussion ensembles in Waterloo County schools. The Waterloo Music Comâ€" pany has supplied a good percentage of the instruâ€" ments and music. The comâ€" pany has long served bands and orchestras from coast to coast, and Newfoundâ€" land. Last year it supplied instruments for a band in Bermuda. Founded by the late C.F. Thiele, Waterloo bandmasâ€" ter for 30 years, and an Onâ€" tario band promoter, the company has continued opâ€" erations under the manageâ€" ment of a number of veterâ€" an employees to whom Mr. Thiele turned over the business. Manager of the company previously, Fred C. Moogk has long been presiâ€" dent of the firm.
