Elli: Me. Laughlin our well driller and former moose hunter, caught the largest fish in our party. Ellis landed a fourteen pound lake trout, of course he had to borrow the lure from the writ- er to accomplish the job. In which case I should think if he should win a prize, I at least should get the wrapper or a sniffle. Cam Shantz, Wal- ter Perrifuss, fishing in the same party also landed some very nice lakers around the ten pound mark. Itch Miller almost caught himself a ham- mer handle pike, but it did not bite hard enough, better luck next time Itch. Word also has it, that one of our few bach- elors in the club Clayt Sch- mele, returned over the last weekend holiday with a very fine catch of speckles, which goes to prove that a fellow can still catch fish even if he cannot catch a woman. again, some hiring by! we. Hermie Wuergler has asked that we send out an appeal for some wood collectors for this Saturday afternoon, May 30th. The reason being that there is to be a weiner roast in the evening and in order to have hot dogs one must have a fire, and to have a fire at least for a weiner roast one must have wood. How about it fellows will you give Hermie The Westside Dairy party headed for the North last Fri- day night. Included in the party were Westside Fred Brahman, Wilt Simpson, N Pleffer. Milt Jonas, Ab Sch- midt, Emil Bruneisen and the one and only Uncle Dudley. If equipment means anything this party should return with their limit of fish. They had their tackle boxes full of every kind of lures imaginable and some lures that one just could not imagine being lures, at least not for fish in Ontario waters. We have had no reports from this party as of yet, but we will report the outcome of this ekpedition FISH in our next week's news report. mum ROD AND GUN CLUB KIWI by In”. Skunk: .
