The material for| the roof was purchased from the| Eastern Steel Products Ltd., Presâ€"| ton, at a cost of $1750. The total sum expended by the Turf Club on the new grandstand so far is in the neighborhood of $14,000. To complete the _ grandstand _ as planned will cost another $5000. . New Hamburg‘s share of the county road surplus has been calâ€" culated at $439.00 by County Clerk Charles Stager. This amount is to be deducted from the County taxes due Dec. 15th. The byâ€"law making the rebates to the municipalities has yet to be ratified at the Dec. meeting of the County Council. _ The regular meeting of the Home and School Club held at the School on Tuesday evening, drew an attendance of 75. The chief speaker was Dr. Bowers, principal of the Stratford Normal School, who gaveâ€"a very instructive adâ€" dress.
