Books Printed in 1626, 1743, 1782, Owned by Old Roseville . Families. Much interest was manifested at the services in the U. B. Cburcp in observance of Bible Day. Besides a large collection of old family bibles, testaments, and hymn books, there was at Interesting display of posters and other literature, loaned by the Upper Canada Bible Society and the Amerlcan Bible Society. One book contained the verse, John 3:16, wrltâ€" ten in 692 languages. One of the oldâ€" est books there was a copy of the book of Psalms, printed in 1659, and loaned by Rev. L. H. Wagner, pastor of the Evangelica} Church. Other exâ€" hibits of epecial interest were those brought from New Dundee. "An Exâ€" planation of the Gospel for Young Christians", printed in 1620, owned by Mr. Gordon Hallman‘; an old family bible printed in 1782, owned by. Mrs. E. B. Hallman; a Communion cup and tray used in a "Free Kirk" in Jnverness, Scotland. and brought to Canada over 100 years ago; and a Communion tray used by early setâ€" tlers from Penneylvania who settled at Roseville. The prize for the oldest German Family Bible, printed in 1743, was awarded to Mrs. A. €. Becker. Mr. Roy Stoltz received the prize for the most worn Bible which had been owned by his mother. The subject for the day‘s services was "The History of the Bible". In the morning a short program, conâ€" slsting of readings and short adâ€" dresaes by Mr. J. Hope and Rev. G. D.
