The county councll! intended to pave this stretch as part j of the County road system but the delegation was informed by the deâ€" partment officials that this stretch is considered a connecting link of the provincial highway and can only be paved by the village and that the highways department would pay 50 per cent. of the cost of a twentyâ€" foot pavement. They also favored the route to be along Byron and Louis streets instead of to the Watâ€" erlob and Huron streets corner. A special meeting of the cotmcil is being held to discuss the new deâ€" velopments in the matter.
