The gentleman reâ€" ferred to is James Shearer, who while up there was taken with that dread disease, smallâ€"por, which caused his death.. Deceased with his brother, -ndm well in that far land. James also been in Rossland, where. he was pitcher for the baseball club. While here he was one of the best liked of the young men, and the news of his death comes as a shock to bis old companions and friends. Mr.and Mre.
