GENTLEMEX.â€" We, your Directors, in submitting this our Twentyâ€"Sixth Aunual Report, the Manager‘s Financial Statement, and the Auditors‘ Reg;t for the year ending Dec. 31st, 1899, would conâ€" gratulate the Company on the steady increase of its business. â€" The total number of Policies now in force is 2,417 ; the Amount at Risk $4,449,400.00 for which the Company holds i’remium Notes to the amount of $225,520.00. It is clearly shown by the steady inâ€" crease of your Companyâ€" from year to year that you have the confidence of the public in general. Although your Directors have made no special effort to augment its business,yet we are able to show an increase in the amount of Risk of $14,435.00. During the year your losses have been light compared with the Amount at Risk. The Company: sustained eighteen losses during the year, amounting in the aggregate to $1,446.â€" Your Directors declared an assessâ€" ment of 3 per cent. on all Premiunm Notes in force on the first day of Sepâ€" tember, 1899, which was sufficient to meet all Liabilities of the Company and leare a balance of Cash on hand of toprove that 90 bent of ait headaches result from this cause.
