A monster in human form, calld at a school and asked to get a 12â€"year old girl to take to her fathâ€" er as he was hurt. The man was a kidnapper and held the girl for ranâ€" som, making ‘her write to her father asking him to free her. _ $1500 was demanded and a place for meeting arranged. The day came, value was paid to the monster who said he would drive on a little way and leave the girl out. He did so and the ovâ€" erjoyed father rushed to get her to find she was dead. Some of the old fellows say ‘nothing doing.‘ We have heard of no more small pox cases. The newly organized UFYPO Club of Yeovil, are having a social evenâ€" ing on Thursday, Dec. 29th. Ferguson â€" Wilson : That this Council extend sympathy to the famâ€" ilies in the Township suffering from the regrettable outbreak. of small pox and trust that they will soon be fully restored and hope that all parâ€" ties concerned will do all in their power to prevent any further spread of the disease. â€" Carried. Wilsonâ€"Robb : That the Treasurer be authorized to pay to the County Treasurer on or before Dec. 31st, the sum of $187.20 being the amount due as a county rate for 1927, also the sum of $6086.09, being the Trusteos‘ levys for the different schools, toâ€" gether with the sum of $691.30 for deâ€" benture purposes when they become due. _ Carried. The Road Sup‘t reported the sale of old bridge to the amount of $9.50, said amount being paid over to the Treasurer. Fergusonâ€"Wilson : That the reeve be instructed to sign pay sheet No. 10 for work performed on roads. Car. The Reeve, Treasurer and Clerk reported as follows re the settlement of. accounts between the Tp. of Egreâ€" mont and Proton, for the years 1924 to 1927 inclusive. The accounts showed that Eg‘t Tp. had expended on the E. and P. TL the sum of $1514.97 and that Proton Tp. had exâ€" pended the sum of $1505.30, making a difference in favor of Eg‘t Tp. of $9.67, one half of which was paid ovâ€" er to the Treasurer of Egremont Tp.
