June 12,1974 THE OAKVILLE BEAVER 25 School of Design holds craft sale The community is invited to attend a show and sale of student crafts at the Sheridan College School of Design, in M ississauga between June 12 and 15. The show, which features a collection of 51 items, wi l l be open Wednesday and Thursday (June 12 and 13) from 12 -- 2 p.m. and Saturday, June 15, from 12 -- 6 p.m. at the School of Design, 1460 S. Sheridan Way, Mississauga. The collection ranges f r o m w e a v i n g , i m m a c u l a t e wa l l - hangings, embroidered q u i l t s and wo v e n garm ents to masks, ceramics, glassware and jewelry. Included in the show is a unique wall mural worth several thousand dollars and an interesting steel, glass and wood hanging. The majority of crafts are for sale. Davis of Oakville, has been honored by a number of showers and parties given by friends and relatives. Included was a dinner and shower given by the staff of 3 Centre, at Oakv i l l e T r a f a l g a r Memorial Hospital, a pantry shower given by Mrs. William McPherson an d Mi s s I s a b e l McPherson, and two miscellaneous showers given by Mrs. George Harris and by Mrs. Norman Douglas and daughter Cheryl. The bride-to-be was also honored at a dinner party given by Mr. and Mrs. William Doidge and a cocktail party given by Dr. and Mrs. Soanes, Mrs. Gordon Lefebvre, and Miss Mimi Andresen.
