More to the point, his houses are selling on the Internet, including a recent one worth a cool million. The Century 21 (Miller) agent launched his Website in January with the help of Siren Studios Multimedia Productions in Oakville. Although an admitted novice in the world of computers and technology, Goodale had a vision of what he wanted to accom plish. Combined with the professional know-how of Matt Allen and Carly Markey of Siren Studios, Goodale says he's come up with a web page that represents the ultimate in applying tech nology to real estate marketing. Goodale believes that Internet marketing in the wave of the future and he plans to be at the front of it. He estimates that only about 10 percent of the agents in Oakville are currently using the Internet as a marketing tool. "I wanted my design to provide a lot of information and to be interactive," explains Goodale. "The world is getting small er and purchasers are a lot more educated and demanding. They want answers yesterday." To respond to that demand for instant information, Goodale has had his domaine name--www.donsdreamhomes.com-- placed on his real estate signs. Interested clients can send him direct messages as well as shopping his web page for detailed information on specific list ings. He has also made available a complete information pack age on Oakville which can be sent out to clients who want to learn more about the community. "Rather than driving in their cars, I'm finding that more and more people are driving the Internet," he adds. It's especially great for out-of-town buyers because they can find all the rela tive information on the website." Goodale credits his website for a recent million-dollar sale to a client in New Jersey. The two of them traded e-mail mes sages back and forth for three weeks before the sale was final ly made. He also acknowledges the work of Siren Studios in helping him create a website that works exactly the way he wanted it to. Goodale says he did enough prior research to know that it is easy to create a website that looks great without being very effective. Matt Allen, owner of Siren Studios, says Goodale came to them with some great ideas about what he wanted to make available to his clients, but he wasn't sure how or where to begin. According to Allen, many companies find themselves in a similar predicament. They know that business on the Internet is now not only a viable option but is fast becoming standard pro cedure. Allen's associate, Carly Markey, says it took six to eight weeks to create and customize Goodale's website because of the complexity of what he wanted to offer. Simpler sites such as a web page brochure, she notes, can be completed in about three days and at much less cost. Goodale admits he spent "a premium" to develop the exact website he wanted but he's a firm believer in getting what you pay for. Besides, he notes that the New Jersey sale has already made his expenditure well worthwhile. MK1IMVMRIV. Canto Our July 1st fun is one big, exciting party.
