Start the year off fresh when you enroll in Oxford Learning Brooklin and help your child have a successful start to the school year. Oxford Learning can give your child the tools they need to take learning to the next level, from A+ to Beyond. Meet Trisha Dosaj, director at Oxford Learning Brooklin who has successfully helped children achieve their goals in Brooklin since August, 2015. Dosaj started working at Oxford Learning in Richmond Hill following completion of her B.Ed. from UOIT in 2007, and has seen first hand the degree of success the program offers. "I've seen kids flourish," Dosaj says enthusiastically, "There's a moment of clarity when they realize they can do it, whether it's reading or independently solving that complicated word problem. We want to ensure we can help everybody, to make sure students have the right strategies to transfer from Oxford into their school and homework." Establishing skills Getting good grades is more than sharpening pencils. Oxford Learning helps kids establish the proper learning skills beyond academics and, most importantly, the confidence they need to accomplish their goals. As a parent, Dosaj understands the importance of giving your child every possible edge. That's why she wants to offer them the best. "It's personal," she says. "Just as I want success for my child, I want these children to succeed." Oxford Learning offers programs to students to enrich their understanding of reading and comprehension, math, grammar, spelling, and writing, as well as homework and study skills. All are provided in both English and French at the Brooklin location. Oxford Learning programs range from all ages, grades, and subjects: Little Readers & R.E.A.D. Elite (Ages 3-6), Beyond Tutoring (Grades 1-8), Advantage (Grades 8-12), and French (Grades 1-12) offered in one hour sessions twice a week. SAT Prep "In addition to all of our core programs, we've just added a new one!" says Dosaj. For students looking to go into a college in the United States, Oxford Learning Brooklin has the newly redesigned SAT Prep Course. Reading and understanding the questions, sample test questions, and even a practice three-hour exam are all part of this program. "If you want to be prepared for the SAT, this is the course to take," she adds. Before being enrolled, your child is given a personalized Dynamic Diagnostic Assessment of his or her academic and cognitive levels in order to devise an individual learning program. As your child's needs may change, Dosaj and her marvelous team meet with parents on a regular basis. This year, see what your child can accomplish!
