Full Text

At the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Arthur Welstead, Miss Ada Elizabeth Welstead became the bride of Mr. George Terence Fairbrother, son of Mr. W.D. Fairbrother, Beamsville, in a ceremony performed by Rev. Ralph Cummings on the evening of Sept. 8th.

White gladioli and pink magnolia formed an effective setting. Mr. Fred Godwin played the wedding music. Mr. Welstead gave his daughter in marriage.

Her ballerina gown was of wine lace over pink satin, with low neckline, full skirt and bracelet length sleeves. Pink satin hat and shoes completed the costume and she carried white carnations and pink roses arranged in a cascade. Miss Shirley Welstead attended her, gowned in grey lace over grey satin in the same style, with matching accessories and bouquet of pink roses and carnations.

Mr. Edward Fairbrother of Sudbury was groomsman.

Following the reception, Mr. and Mrs. Fairbrother left for New York. The bride travelled in a black and white checked suit with black accessories.

Upon their return they will reside in Beamsville.
