Daley, John Arthur and Chapman, Joan Marilyn (Married)

With the Rev. Gordon Smythe officiating, Joan Marilyn, daughter of Mrs. Gladys Chapman, Toronto, become the wife of Mr. John Arthur Daley, son of the Hon. Chas. Daley and Mrs. Daley, in Yonge St. United Church, Toronto, on September 1st.
The bride wore a gown of white nylon marquisette over taffeta, the skirt hooped at the bottom and the neck and sleeves accented with French lace. Her veil was of nylon and her large bouquet was of red roses.
She was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Mr. Arthur Newman, and was attended by Mrs. Arthur Newman, Miss Marion Malette and Miss Sondra Turton, the latter as flower girl. Her floor-length dress was of lavender blue and the senior attendants wore gowns of nylon marquisette, the former in aster shade and the latter in wood violet. Bandeaus of matching marquisette and bouquets of roses completed their ensembles.
Mr. Irwin Daley was groomsman, and ushering were Mr. Kenneth Daley and Mr. Ronald Turton. Aster and gladioli decorated the church.
Following a reception the couple left for the Eastern States and on their return will live in Toronto. A powder blue suit with pink hat and accessories was chosen by the bride for travelling.
