Mrs. Alvin A. Merritt, the former Minnie Walker, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Barlow, 38 Emerald St. N., Hamilton, on July 18th, 1951.

Mrs. Merritt was born in Grassie 89 years ago, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Victoria Walker. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Young (Frances), and Mrs. Barlow (Gladys); one brother, Joseph Walker, Grimsby, and a sister, Mrs. Cecilia MacKinnon, Vancouver, B.C.; a granddaughter, Gladys Young, Ottawa, grandson, Francis Barlow, Hamilton, and a great-grandson, Gerald Barlow.

The remains rested at the Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, where services were held on Saturday, July 21st, at 2 p.m., with burial in the Merritt Settlement Cemetery, Smithville.

Mrs. Merritt was a member of Centenary United Church, Hamilton.
