NEWS Jewelry store robbed by armed thieves Two suspects are being sought after an Oakville jewelry store was robbed last Wednesday night. Halton police report that on March 7 at 8:30 p.m., two armed suspects entered the Mariani Jew ellers in Oakville Place, with one suspect allegedly threatening staff mem bers with a handgun while the other took an assort ment of watches from the display cases. They then ran to an exit located in the southwest part of the mall and were last seen entering a wait ing vehicle described as an older model silver Dodge Caravan, which was possibly occupied by a third suspect. No employees or cus tomers in the mall were injured during the inci dent. Numerous police re sources responded to the area to search for the sus pects, but no suspects were located. Both suspects are de scribed as being approxi mately five-foot-ten, aver age build, wearing dark clothing, blue toques and white masks. One suspect was also carrying a red gym bag.
