The Bronte Creek Provincial Park resident has been friendless since the park's two peahens went missing about two years ago, likely killed by coyotes. Percy has been showing off his feathers to everything on Spruce Lane Farm from the pigs to the big, blue Bronte Creek station wagon. "He had a rooster friend, and they went walking around together," said Sandy Woodhouse, curator at Spruce Lane Farm. "They looked like they should have been sitting on a couple of barstools somewhere; they looked so lonely." The peafowl were introduced to the farm because on old Victorian farms, it was considered a sign of prosperity to have a peacock strutting amongst the other animals. Woodhouse said they would love it if any peafowl breeders in the area would give Percy a friend. Woodhouse said future peahens would be kept in an enclosure. * T Looking for an enjoyable AGON ltd.
