Readers‘ Comer M Dear Editor, Literacy North Halton held its 14th annual Grate Groanâ€"Up Spelling Bee at the Milton Centre for the Arts May 15. The participants in this adult spelling bee had a fun â€" and educational â€" evening, with money raised for the benefit of adult literacy in our communities. Literacy North Halton‘s Adult Learning Cenâ€" tre is a notâ€"forâ€"profit, charitable organization serving the communities of Milton, Georgeâ€" town and Acton. Adults who choose our literacy programs are getting a second chance at education. We help our students improve their reading, writing, basic math and computer skills so they can secure employment, help children with homework and improve their health and community engagement.
