Late last month, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation issued a thirdâ€"quarter payment to the Town of $1,098,380, bringing its nonâ€"tax gaming revenue total to $100.6 milâ€" lion since August 1999. The milestone was lauded by Mayor Gord Krantz, who was instrumental in bringing the casino to the Milton racetrack. "It (slots revenues) really has benefitâ€" ted this municipality," he said. "There are projects that have happened in this community, whether it be infraâ€" structure, facilities, equipment and more that certainly would‘ve been delayed five, 10 or even 20 years without that $100 million.
