Albert Edward Simmons, North Grimsby Township, died suddenly Sunday at his home on the Ridge Road.

In his 55th year, he was born at Birmingham, England, in September 1896. A veteran of the Imperial Army, he had served as a corporal in the K.S.L.I.

He came to Canada 25 years ago, residing at Burlington for 7 years before moving to N. Grimsby 18 years ago. During the last war he was on guard duty at a war plant in the Niagara Peninsula. He was an adherent of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, and a former member of West Lincoln Branch, Canadian Legion.

Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Edward, and a daughter, Mrs. Earl Etherington, both of the Town of Grimsby; also a brother, Harry Simmons, and a sister, Mrs. Albert Lewis, both of Dundas.
