Win nofrills.ca NEWS Former hospital site open house set for tonight Area residents interested in learning more about the future of the former hospi tal site are invited to attend an open house event at Oakville's Town Hall on Thursday, Feb. 8. The open house will be held in the Oak- ville/Trafalgar Room and run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The former Oakville Trafalgar Memo rial Hospital, located in the Reynolds Street and MacDonald Road area, is being demolished to make way for a community centre and park, some residential develop ment and seniors-oriented housing. The former Oakville Trafalgar High School and hospital parking garage will be preserved at the site. On Nov. 28, 2017 the town held an open house and online survey to allow residents to provide input on design options for the neighbourhood park. Town staff have reviewed that feedback and are now following up with another open house where they will present: Design options for the park; Design options for the open space par cel of land on the southeast corner of the former hospital site; A high level concept for the proposed Civic Space in front of the preserved for mer Oakville Trafalgar High School; Options for a rejuvenated Wallace Park. The town's recreation and culture staff Former Oakville hospital site development design. will also provide an update on the progress of the design of the South East Community Centre.
