The orchestra were housed in an old negro shack with cottonâ€" fields on either side and a swaying palm tree over their heads. Many of the male escorts also wore boutonâ€" nieres of cotton.. During the evening a dainty lunch was served by memâ€" bers of the Princess Alice Club. Mrs. W. Ecclestone was convener of the dance assisted by Mrs. H. Freeâ€" man, Mrs. Hugh supervised the decorations: Mrs. F. Bowman, the lunch, Mrs. T. S. Taylor, the tickets and Mrs. M. B.
