He was born in Russia, coming to Canada in 1906., He followed the ‘ T. and N. O. construction up to Engleâ€" hart, and for a time operated a bakâ€" ‘ery there, coming to Timmins in 1920 where he operated a bakery on Cedar St. He operated the ‘"Northern‘"‘ New and Second Hand Furniture store at 89 Golden Avenue for the past ‘eight years, and previous to that had lived in the Porcupine Camp since 1920. Philip Shinechoft, aged 62, died on Friday March 1l4th in St. Mary‘s Hosâ€" pital, Timmins. As a juvenile in Winnipeg he had stolen a bicycle (for which he was punished), and was later placed on probation for being in possession of a car without the owner‘s consent, Before passing sentence his worship commented "There was nothing vicâ€" ious about this crime. .« Ordinarily charges such as this should carry a heavier sentence; the fact that the keys of the stolen car were handed over to the other man to be taken back to him is taken into consideraâ€" tion.
