On Sunday afternoon the Kinsmen and their wives were guests at the Children‘s Shelter, and during the pleasant social afternoon tea was enâ€" joyed and the work done in aid of the Shelter by the Club was reviewed. Guests were received by Mrs. Clarke, matron of the Shelter, and Mrs. C. Eyre, head of the welfare committee. Tea was poured by Mrs, M. Shaheen and assisting her during the afternoon was Mrs. I. K. Pierce. Some of the work done towards imâ€" proving the Shelter by the Kinmen and the Kinettes has been the inâ€" stallation of an oil furnace, as well as most suitable revisions to the . baseâ€" ment and upper floors. ; ‘The entire home has been brightened considerably, by new painting and fixâ€" tures and the former one room third floor has been converted into two rooms, one to be used for the help, and the other for the children.
