H. and Mrs. Harper with their children and Mrs. I. Foster reâ€" turned to the Dome on Saturday after having attended the funeral of Dr. Harper‘s mother in Toronto. Jack Tripp, of the RC.AF., returned on Monday to Quebec after visiting his wife in town. Next Monday in the Legion Hall the Comfort Fund will hold the first card party (whist and bridge) from which proceeds will go to the Fund. This is the Legion activity which is sending parcels of comforts to our servicemen and new names are being daily added to the already long list. Your man or your neighbor‘s man is being looked after by these ladies so please turn out in good numbers on Monday and hetp by your attendance, to help the fund to keep up this excellent work. Good prizes will be offered, and lunch will be served. Mrs. Harold McInnis came back from Toronto recently and has now taken up residence with her son in the Naisa building on Tisdale Ave. Miss E. The anâ€" nual meeting followed the banguet as well as the presentation of prizes and trophies won during the season. Mrs. R. P. Smith, who has been president of the Club for the past three years and is now residing in Timmins, reâ€" signed as President at this meeting. The members of the Club presented her with a large vase with their thanks for her untiring energies and efforts during her presidency, on behalf of the welfare of the Club. Mrs. Smith thanked the Club for their nice gift and expressed her pleasure at having worked in harmony with the executive and members during her time of office.
